Electrical and Mechanical Services Department Apprentices Association 70th Anniversary Magnetic Badge

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department Apprentices Association commissioned Regent Gifts to produce a set of magnetic commemorative badges for its 70th anniversary, to be given out as mementos at the anniversary activities. The badges belong to the pin category and are held in place by a magnetic fastener, so no pin pierces the fabric.

The association wanted a badge that members could wear on the day and that staff could hand out easily on site. A magnetic fastener suits that need: the badge goes on and comes off without effort, and the clothing is left without pinholes.

Each badge was made to roughly the size and thickness of a Hong Kong one-dollar coin. That size sits comfortably in the palm and stays unobtrusive on a lapel, which matters when a ceremony or gathering runs for hours.

The finished pieces were delivered as magnetic commemorative badges for use during the association's 70th anniversary events.
