Matilda International Hospital custom reverse umbrella

Matilda International Hospital commissioned Regent Gifts to produce a custom reverse umbrella with a shoulder-strap cover and a C-shaped handle for everyday hospital use.

Items used by a hospital need to be practical. A reverse umbrella folds with the wet surface kept inside, so floors stay drier when staff and visitors move between outdoors and indoors. The shoulder-strap cover lets the umbrella be carried hands-free.

The C-shaped handle can be looped over the wrist or hung on a chair back and handrail, which helps while moving between waiting areas and corridors.

The canopy also serves as advertising space, with the hospital name and logo placed where they are easily seen during daily use.
